My name is Michelle and I am an OFSTED registered Childminder working from my home in the Oakley Vale area of Corby, Northants. My house is situated between Morrison's and Brooke Weston school, close to Great Oakley, Danesholme and Kingswood estates.
I have three children who are aged between 17 and 22 years. I live with my husband, Martin, and our youngest daughter. We have two rescue dogs called Jack and Boss. All of us have been either CRB or DBS checked.
I am registered to care for children between the ages of birth and 5 on the Early Years Register (EYFS) and the Childcare Register.
I have a wealth of experience having previously been employed by Northamptonshire Social Services, Mencap, Tresham College and Danesholme Infant Academy. I have also been a respite foster carer.

I regularly undertake paediatric first aid training and refresh my safeguarding knowledge inline with the statutory requirements for childcare providers.
In January 2024 I trained to become an ELKLAN Accredited Communication Friendly Home Based Setting. You can read more about this in a blog that I wrote for the East Midlands Stronger Practise Hub.
Later that year I completed the Early Years Professional Development Programme which was part of the Government's COVID recovery plan.
